Samoa Joe Chokes Out Paul Heyman on WWE Raw (Video)

Samoa Joe and Paul Heyman exchanged words, until things got one-sided and physical, on WWE Raw.

At WWE Extreme Rules, Samoa Joe won a No. 1 Contenders match for the WWE Universal Championship. He defeated Finn Balor, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt to pull this off, earning an opportunity to face Brock Lesnar for the title at Great Balls of Fire.

Monday’s episode of Raw featured Joe cutting his first in-ring promo since winning. He spoke about his upcoming match with Lesnar, and how he won’t be scared. This led to Paul Heyman coming out and defending his client, while also playing up Joe, and selling the main event of Great Balls of Fire.

After their verbal exchange seemingly concluded, Joe got up close to Heyman, and explained exactly what he was going to do to him, which was choke him out in the middle of the ring. The Advocate stood there listening, befuddled at what was just said. However, the Samoan Submission Machine declared this a warning to Lesnar and followed through, putting the Coquina Clutch on Heyman, while referees came to the ring to break it up.

A sickening, cold, psychotic, and deranged move by Joe. He attacked the man who got in his way, so will this be the case for other WWE Superstars, like Seth Rollins, who confronted him afterward?

This only hyped up Lesnar vs. Joe for Great Balls of Fire, with over one month of build to go. The match takes place on Sunday, July 9.

The Beast Incarnate didn’t show up for this segment, but will he appear during any other part of Raw? At the time this happened, plenty of time remained, so it’s possible he’ll arrive to wreak havoc.
