Spoilers for episodes of WWE NXT, that will take place in June and July 2017.
On Friday night, WWE NXT had its latest taping from Full Sail University. It’s not the final one before NXT TakeOver: Brooklynn III, but it featured plenty of intriguing matches to hype up the NXT faithful. Everything taped will be seen in June and July 2017.
A previously-announced match for this taping, was Asuka vs. Nikki Cross in a Last Woman Standing match for the NXT Women’s Championship. This will take place on the Wednesday, June 28 episode of WWE NXT.
Other than this, the taping was wide open. What was featured at the show? The spoilers can be seen below, via Wrestling Inc.
- Bianca Blair (now known as Bianca BelAir) defeated Aliyah in a qualifying match for the Young Classic.
- The Velveteen Dream defeated Ho Ho Lun.
- Hideo Itami vs. Oney Lorcan ended when Lorcan busted open Itami.
- Danielle Kamella (now known as Vanessa Borne) defeated Jamey Hachey in a qualifying match for the Mae Young Classic.
- Johnny Gargano returned to WWE NXT, after a video of Tommaso Ciampa turning on him played. Gargano questioned Ciampa’s turn and said he wants to be at TakeOver: Brooklyn.
- Hideo Itami and Oney Lorcan returned to the ring. Itami won with the GTS.
- Itami cut a promo and asked Kassius Ohno to come to the ring, and did. They went face-to-face, until Nikki Cross appeared. Then, Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe attacked Itami and Ohno.
- No Way Jose defeated Cezar Bononi.
- Ember Moon defeated Ruby Riot.
- Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain defeated Kassius Ohno and Hideo Itami.
- Oney Lorcan defeated Danny Burch.
- Bobby Roode defeated Roderick Strong for the NXT Championship.
- Aleister Black defeated Bobby Fish. This was Fish’s NXT debut.
- The Authors of Pain defeated Heavy Machinery to retain the NXT Tag Team Championships. After the match, Dain and Wolfe came to the ring and stared down AoP.
- Jeet Rama defeated Johnny Vandal.
- Drew McIntyre defeated Killian Dain to become the No. 1 Contender to the NXT Championship.
- Asuka defeated Nikki Cross in a Last Woman Standing match for the NXT Women’s Championship.
