Goodbye, Dean Ambrose

Since the night after WrestleMania 32, The Miz has been a staple of the Intercontinental Championship scene. He’s put on a number of strong performances during this time, both in and outside of the squared circle. Because of this, the Awesome One has built a very accurate reputation as a great worker. As one of the few true heels of this generation, he makes people legitimately hate him. One of those people is Dean Ambrose, who has seemingly made it his mission to eliminate the Miz.

Throughout the past several episodes of Raw, Miz was repeatedly left down and out by Ambrose inside of the ring. While he did manage to retain the title when necessary, the Awesome One looked inferior to those around him. He needed to establish a way to ensure success, and so he enlisted a bit of help. Recruiting Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, Miz formed a group known as the Miztourage. Combined with the assistance already provided by Maryse, the current Intercontinental Champion may be unstoppable.

For what could be considered to be the thirtieth time, Ambrose and Miz battled during last night’s show. Thanks to his new stable, Miz capitalized and scored a monumental victory to solidify his status as champion. Along with that, by defeating the Lunatic Fringe, he’s probably earned the right to face a new challenger. Ambrose has been involved with the title for a great deal of time, and he would be better used in the main event scene. In his place, perhaps someone such as Finn Balor or Jeff Hardy could face the Awesome One. It doesn’t matter who is selected, so long as the new feud is fresh and entertaining.
