5 Things The WWE Got Right: The Shield Reunion Tease

1 of 6

Here is a look at five times the WWE creative team deserved a pat on the back for how well they did this week.

While we often like to criticize the WWE creative team for mishandling certain talent, it can’t be argued that they don’t do certain things exceptionally well. In this post, I aim to highlight five such instances from this week. It can be said that Raw certainly had a better outing that SmackDown Live. Despite having to build some desperate hype towards the upcoming Hell in a Cell PPV, the Blue Brand struggled at times to keep the audience engaged.

However, that does not mean the show was all bad. Even Raw had its fair share of lame moments and segments. However, with the amount of star power at its disposal, Raw made sure to give us some good segments. However, it was certainly NXT that stole the show this week. The show’s presentation of both Aleister Black and Velveteen Dream has been absolutely spot on. Throw in the announcement that the War Games will be back once more and you have a lot look forward to.

To cap everything off, a PPV quality match between Roderick Strong and Drew McIntyre tore the house down. McIntyre’s second run in the company has certainly been the polar opposite of the last one. At times he makes me wonder how well SmackDown would have fared had he been the WWE champion instead of Jinder Mahal. With so much happening over the 3 signature shows and 205 on the side, what were the five creative decisions that made the list? Let’s get to it then.
