WWE: Enzo Amore Is A Certified Draw For 205 Live

A few weeks ago, Enzo Amore made his transition to the WWE 205 Live roster, in a hope to draw in ratings. So, is the Certified G. a certified draw?

When Enzo Amore made his way to the 205 Live roster, still as a babyface, the crowd still seemed to be on-board with Amore.

Like him or not, the guy gets a reaction every time he comes out. Not to mention, he’s arguably one of the best of the microphone today.

Recently, Enzo turned heel, low-blowing Neville and then solidifying his place as a heel on 205 Live days later. My first reaction to Amore winning the Cruiserweight title wasn’t great. However, upon watching him turn himself into a ‘chicken-bleep heel’, he really has grown on me. And it seems as if the rest of the audience concurs.

At least for right now, Enzo Amore is a draw for 205 Live.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer (subscription need), the 205 Live episode for September 26th was among the top 10 most-watched shows on the WWE Network – ranked 7th.

Previously, according to Meltzer, 205 Live was ranking around the same spot as NXT, which usually hangs around the number 14 spot on most-watched shows. As well as normally loosing to NXT, the 205 Live shows are also usually beaten by WrestleMania’s on a weekly basis – ‘Mania shows usually rank around the number 10 spot.

At 7th, 205 Live is finally out-ranking NXT and WrestleMania events. And it’s all down to Enzo.

If you can’t remember the September 26th edition of 205 Live, or simply didn’t watch, the show heavily featured Amore, from start to finish. And it was the first show following his Cruiserweight title victory.

So, it appears that the WWE are finally getting use out of Enzo Amore, at least, for the short-term. As I mentioned at the start, you don’t have to like Amore, but you have to appreciate that he draws for the company. And all the while he’s drawing, expect him to keep the title; it just makes smart business sense.
