In what has to be the most shocking announcement of 2017, Kurt Angle will be returning to wrestle this Sunday night at WWE TLC 2017.

The news officially broke just minutes ago, with WWE tweeting out a link detailing the former Olympic Gold Medalist’s involvement in the upcoming WWE TLC 2017 event.

The article posted on WWE.com reads:

"Due to medical issues impacting two WWE Superstars scheduled to appear at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs, streaming live on WWE Network this Sunday, the special event will now feature Kurt Angle competing in a WWE ring for the first time in more than 11 years, as he replaces Roman Reigns. In addition, former WWE Champion AJ Styles will replace Bray Wyatt and face “The Demon” Finn Bálor."

The news is shocking, with fans around the world buzzing at the idea of watching Kurt Angle wrestle again.

As explained in the article, the reasons for Reigns and Wyatt missing the pay-per-view is due to illness, which some suspect to be viral meningitis.

But to be honest, as long as it’s not deadly, I don’t care. After 11 years, the former Wold Champion will be finally returning to action. Will he wear a singlet? Are you read for the “You Suck!” chants? And will there even be a carton of milk?

The article posted by the company finishes by saying:

"Hall of Famer and the current General Manager of Raw, Angle will join forces with Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose to battle the daunting combination of Braun Strowman, Intercontinental Champion The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus and The Big Red Machine Kane in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs 5-on-3 Handicap Match."

Therefore, it appears like none of the other men involved in the main event have sufferedthe illness.

Hopefully, the illness bug going around can die down now, as the Superstars that have this disease aren’t performing. Hopefully that will prevent this sickness from being passed around.
