Bound For Glory 2017: Taya Valkyrie Pulls Out Of PPV

Impact Wrestling has quietly stepped up its game over the past couple of months as far as the on-screen product goes, and the two women’s matches at Bound for Glory 2017 were among the most anticipated on a stacked card. Unfortunately, it looks like one of those matches will be scrapped, as Taya Valkyrie will be unable to compete.

On Nov. 5, Impact Wrestling will treat its fans to Bound For Glory 2017, which has been a well-built pay per view to this point and will feature some exciting matches. Johnny Impact will battle Eli Drake for the Impact Global Championship; six men will compete for the X-Division’s title; Moose and Bobby Lashley will cap off their rivalry; and Allie, Gail Kim, and Sienna will have a match for the Knockouts Championship.

Notice that I left off the scheduled match between Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie, which was also among the most exciting matches on this pay per view. This is because Impact Wrestling has announced on Twitter that Valkyrie has pulled out of the pay per view. Furthermore, she will not be available for tapings, which means we won’t get to see her on Impact until 2018.

This is sad news for the fans, since Valkyrie is among the most popular talents on Impact Wrestling. She stated that she isn’t done with Rosemary and will post a video later today with presumably some details on why she will be unable to compete.

This news comes after one of the greatest Impact Knockouts of all-time, Tayrn Terrell, had to leave the company before Bound For Glory because she could not get into Canada. Terrell was originally supposed to be in the match for the Knockouts Championship, as it was set to be a Fatal Four-Way.

Now that Valkyrie is out for the pay per view, Rosemary is left without an opponent. Because the original Knockouts Championship match was supposed to be a Fatal Four-Way, I wouldn’t be surprised if Rosemary is inserted into this bout. In fact, I would be surprised if they didn’t make this update.
