For the past couple of months, fans have been anticipating the in-ring return of WWE Superstar Paige, and it sounds like that will happen this week.
Initially, it was reported that Paige would make her debut on WWE SmackDown Live, and that made even more sense after it was announced that Asuka would debut on Raw. However, PWInsider.com’s Mike Johnson reports that Paige will make her debut on Raw, and, furthermore, it appears she will make her return on Monday night.
Johnson reports that “the belief” is that Paige will end up on the women’s Survivor Series team, which is currently comprised of captain Alicia Fox, Nia Jax, Asuka, and Sasha Banks. Bayley, Dana Brooke, and Mickie James will have a Triple Threat match on Raw to decide who the fifth member will be, with most fans expecting that Bayley to pull out the win.
However, the WWE could decide to place Paige into this match, or they could have her replace somebody else. It would make a ton of sense for Paige to replace Asuka, whose involvement in the Survivor Series match ostensibly makes the five-on-five encounter predictable. I mean, they can’t possibly have Asuka on the losing team, right?
Anyway, Paige’s return to Raw, assuming plans don’t change, should be electric. She is extremely well-liked by the WWE Universe with an especially faithful group of fans on her side. Paige is also one of the best technical wrestlers in the world, and I am looking forward to watching her remind others just how good she is.

Emma’s release left a bit of a void on the Raw roster, and Paige more than fills it. I’m betting she will be a babyface upon her return, since most fans will want to cheer her. But that shifts the babyface vs. heel dynamic too far to the “babyface” side, so we’ll see what happens. Either way, Paige needs to be at Survivor Series if she returns on Monday, because not having her in that match would be a waste of a big star.
