WWE Rumors: Stephanie McMahon To Wrestle At Royal Rumble 2018

According to the WWE rumor mill, there has been talk of Stephanie McMahon wrestling at this Sunday’s Royal Rumble.

Now, it’s always worth stating that you should take rumors with a grain of salt, and for good reason, especially when it involves wrestling. With that said, per Cageside Seats’ Rumor Roundup, there’s been plenty of speculation on Vince McMahon’s heir apparent wrestling at this Sunday’s WWE event in Philadelphia.

It was revealed this week that the ‘Billionaire Princess’ will be on commentary for Sunday’s Women’s Rumble match, (by the woman herself on Twitter).

Fans pointed out that Stephanie could easily be in her gear behind the booth, and appear in the match, just like the commentary team in the mens 2012 Royal Rumble match. Back then it was a bad idea. And now, it’s still a bad idea.

However, in a hope to look at this in a positive light, if it does happen, it’ll be done to kick-start a feud. Clearly, if McMahon is up for getting physical in the Rumble, starting a feud, she’ll be having a match at WrestleMania.

To tie two things together, which would be nice way of shaping up a stronger storyline, we could see Ronda Rousey also make a surprise appearance – which has been rumored for months.

Then, depending on how you want to book it (and if you want to annoy the crowd in attendance), you can have Rousey or Stephanie eliminate the other. In a hope that Rousey stays strong throughout her run in WWE, I’d most definitely go for Stephanie being eliminated first, as well as the fact that she isn’t an active performer.

I mentioned earlier that tying two stories together would help shape up a stronger narrative, which leads me on to my next idea. During Strowman’s match for the WWE Universal championship against ‘The Beast’ and Kane, Triple H attacks ‘The Monster Among Men’. This sends Strowman into a frenzy on Raw, similar to what he’s been showing us for the last few weeks, but this time it’s directed towards Triple H.

Stephanie and ‘The Game’ then conspire to make a match at WrestleMania, pitting the two of them against Strowman, in a hope that he can’t find an opponent to challenge them. After a few weeks of searching, the man that wants Triple H to ‘get these hands’ finally finds a suitable partner; Ronda Rousey.

It’s a smart idea that keeps Strowman in the spot light, as well as playing off on two storylines between Triple H and Braun (at Survivor Series) and Rousey and Stephanie (at the Rumble).
