WWE female Legends make appearances and enter roster
At WWE’s anniversary episode of Raw, Raw 25, female WWE Legends and former Divas took their place on stage, and waved at the crowd; a scene that was heavily criticized for failure to include women in the action in-ring.
There’s still 12 undeclared spots in the women’s Royal Rumble match, which means there is going to be a few surprise entrants saved for the last second. WWE is sure to save face by throwing in a few legend-status female competitors into the action.
While no one is predicting a legend to win the match, their appearance could be beneficial in other ways. Take a peek at the history of male legend appearances in pay-per-views and weekly shows, for example.
Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Big Show, Undertaker, Kane, Jerry Lawler, Rick Flair, and many other legends have reappeared for various reasons in the last few years. Some have re-entered matches, some have returned for other positions in the company, and some have come simply to remind fans of the feuds they’ll never get over.
Throwing female legends and Divas into the mix could start new opportunities for familiar faces. Trish Stratus has made her desire to fight again known, and a resurfacing of Brie Bella could be beneficial in countless ways.
