Braun Strowman and Elias put on one of the most memorable segments this week, but what else from WWE Raw is worth a second look?

For much of the last year, Raw has been a consistently strong TV product. As of late though, it’s gone from strength to strength with tremendous match quality, believable character development and decent talking segments making the show entertaining for the majority of its three hour runtime. There was a period in which picking out five strong segments on an episode of Raw was quite tough but those days are currently few and far between so considering that, I’ll now spend my time listing the top 5 segments from the show each week, just like has been done with SmackDown as of late.

Luckily for me, this week very much captured what’s made RAW so great recently as a whole range of interesting stuff happened featuring a ton of different talent. We are now firmly on the road to WrestleMania and this show had a whole lot of positives in that sense with a handful of performers having key moments in-ring and out. With that being said, let’s get to this week’s top 5!

Honourable Mention

The Main Event Fatal Five-Way

Just missing out on a top 5 ranking is this week’s main event as Apollo Crews, Bray Wyatt, Matt Hardy, Finn Balor and Seth Rollins (more on that later) fought for the final Elimination Chamber spot. This match was a ton of fun as each contender scored with their signature offence in a match smartly laid out. WWE really is tremendous at multi-man matches and that showed here as everything was neatly sequenced together for maximum impact. It was especially cool to see Crews in this spot as athletically, he’s always capable of thriving once the bell rings.

The match’s double-pin finish was disappointing, that much is undeniable but I understand the idea of going off the air with a cliff-hanger even if what has followed since confuses me slightly. Either way, this was a super fun main event that was unlucky to miss out on the top 5.
