WWE Raw: Results, Highlights, Analysis, and Grades for June 4
By Bryan Heaton
Four big matches are scheduled for WWE Raw this week. Follow along with our live review!
Previously on WWE Raw, Seth Rollins celebrated his birthday by antagonizing Elias, and eating a guitar shot for his troubles. Sasha Banks overcame precisely zero odds to become the final entrant in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. And Nia Jax is so confident about her chances at MITB, she literally laughed in the face of her opponent, Ronda Rousey.
This week, there’s already been four matches announced for Raw. It’s like someone in WWE actually planned ahead for once! Up first, two of the men competing in the MITB Ladder Match in 13 days will square up. Bobby Roode will ride his wave of no momentum to face Braun Strowman. On paper, it’s a mismatch of epic proportions. But we don’t wrestle the matches on paper, so it’s anyone’s guess as to who emerges victorious.
Next, the two active former Universal Champions go head to head, as Finn Balor takes on Kevin Owens. Both men are also in the MITB Ladder Match in Chicago. Last week, Owens cost Balor a possible victory over Braun Strowman. He paid for it when the Monster Among Men attacked later in the evening. But this week, Balor tries to get his own revenge.
In Women’s Division action, Raw Women’s Champ Nia Jax upgrades from local talent to face a former women’s champion — Natalya. The Queen of Harts is standing up for both the women in the locker room, as well as her good friend Ronda Rousey. But she’s got a big challenge ahead of her in the form of the Irresistible Force.
Finally, there’s a tag team battle royal scheduled thanks to the events of last week’s B-Team BBQ. Hopefully, Braun Strowman doesn’t crash this one to win it like last time, since it would be great for Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt to actually have challengers for the Raw Tag Team Titles. Will the B-Team emerge victorious after begging for this opportunity? Or will one of Raw‘s other squads take the win?
The action gets underway on the USA Network at 8 p.m. ET. Be sure to follow all the action on WWE Raw right here with our live review!
