Kazuchika Okada vs. Marty Scurll Announced for All In
The second of two major announcements today for All In has been made. We now have a second match booked for the show.
In what is shaping to be a big day for Marty Scurll, his opponent has been set for All In. Marty Scurll will be taking on Kazuchika Okada at the independent wrestling event. All In sold 10,000 tickets in less than half an hour, shocking the wrestling world. The previous match announced featured Cody challenging for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Nick Aldis. Scurll now joins as well with a singles match against Kazuchika Okada.
Kazuchika Okada recently lost the IWGP Heavyweight Championship to Kenny Omega after one of the best runs ever seen in NJPW. Okada held the title for longer than any previous champion, holding it for nearly 2 years, and broke the title defense record by successfully defending his title 12 times in several classic matches that many consider to be some of the best ever.
Meanwhile, Scurll recently challenged for the ROH World Championship, and has been featured prominently in Ring of Honor’s main event scene. While wrestling in NJPW, Marty primarily wrestles as a Junior Heavyweight, meaning a match with the Heavyweight Okada would be highly unlikely to happen. This, then, makes All In’s announcement all the more interesting.
The show is clearly trying to give us matches that we wouldn’t normally see, following a trend within independent wrestling lately. This was highlighted earlier today when Marty Scurll was also announced as facing Sami Callihan on the Jericho Cruise.

With the two big announcements today for All In, the first being that SoCal Uncensored will be wrestling on the show, and this match here, it’s looking like All In will be a can’t miss show. You might say, all eyes will be on it.
