WWE NXT: Bianca Belair Suffers Injury, No Longer In No. 1 Contender Match

Bianca Belair is one of the most talented wrestlers in WWE NXT right now, but it appears she suffered an injury recently.

Last week on WWE NXT Television, it was announced that Kairi Sane, Nikki Cross, Candice LeRae, and Bianca Belair would compete in a Fatal Four-Way match to determine the No. 1 Contender to Shayna Baszler’s NXT Women’s Championship.

Unfortunately, that match has now become a Triple Threat, as NXT’s Sarah Schreiber announced that Belair suffered an injury and is not medically cleared to compete next week.

At the end of the video, she noted that fans should check out WWE.com later for more details about Belair’s injury.

Sane has quite the history with Baszler, seeing how she defeated Baszler in the finals of the Mae Young Classic. Meanwhile, Cross has also faced Baszler in a big setting, recently losing to the Queen of Spades at NXT TakeOver: Chicago II. Like Sane, Cross has helped protect women in the NXT locker room from Baszler’s bullying. Candice stood up to Baszler last week, and her past with Baszler includes a loss to the champion in an earlier round of the Mae Young Classic.

Belair and Baszler don’t have much history together, but Belair did cut an amazing promo on the NXT Women’s Division and would have made this No. 1 Contender’s match THAT much better.

It’s unclear if this is a legitimate injury or part of an angle, but it might be legit since an announcement occurred just days after next week’s match was set to take place. If so, here’s to hoping it isn’t serious, and here’s to hoping that one of the most talented wrestlers and talkers in WWE makes a full recovery! Belair is the EST, and she has as much potential as anybody in the entire wrestling business. That’s how high everyone seems to be on her – and for good reason.
