Brock Lesnar Announced For Raw After WWE SummerSlam 2018

At Extreme Rules, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle issued an ultimatum to Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. It looks like he’ll oblige, because Lesnar is scheduled for the episode of Raw after WWE SummerSlam 2018.

Brock Lesnar has created more controversy than anyone else in WWE this year, because the Universal Champion’s title defenses and Raw appearances have been, for many fans, frustratingly infrequent. Of course, Lesnar is a special attraction, so when he does show up, it’s a big deal. WWE also wants to portray him as a lazy, part-timer who needs to have the title taken off of him by force, with some fans wondering if it’s just a ploy to get Roman Reigns cheered.

Regardless of WWE’s intentions, Lesnar will most likely have to defend the Universal Championship at SummerSlam, even as he’s set his eyes on Daniel Cormier’s UFC Heavyweight Championship.

The Barclays Center tweeted out that Lesnar is scheduled to appear at the episode of Raw after SummerSlam, which only raises more questions about his impending match at SummerSlam.

Lesnar may appear on the episode of Raw tonight in Buffalo that follows Extreme Rules, as Kurt issued an ultimatum last night, threatening to force his long-time “nemesis” to relinquish the title. Recall that Bobby Lashley defeated Roman Reigns last night, via a spear, in what was essentially an unofficial No. 1 Contender’s match for the Universal Championship.

On the Extreme Rules post-show, Lashley remarked that he doesn’t just want to win the Universal Championship; he wants to win it off of Brock, too. Lashley wants to prove that he’s every bit the legit fighter that Lesnar is, which makes complete sense.

WrestleVotes reported that there may be a multi-man match in Buffalo tonight to determine Lesnar’s opponent at SummerSlam, and Reigns will, as expected, be involved in the match despite his loss to Lashley last night. Seth Rollins lost to Dolph Ziggler (and Drew McIntyre) in the main event of Extreme Rules, but he says he isn’t done with Ziggler and McIntyre. So take that for what it’s worth.
