WWE Raw: Nikki Cross Appears On Stage Among WWE’s Women

One part of WWE’s big announcement for the Women’s Division that may have gone unnoticed was the low key debut of NXT’s Nikki Cross.

WWE Raw opened with a historic announcement. Mr. McMahon opened the show with the Raw roster standing on the stage alongside all of the women on the main roster.

Stephanie McMahon and Triple H were then called out to address the crowd about their historic announcement.

She stated that the women of WWE were going to make history and progress forward once again with their own PPV. This PPV will take place on October 28th, will contain over 50  women of the past, present and future, and will feature the finals of The Mae Young Classic.

This PPV will fittingly be known as Evolution. This is huge news in its own right, but some other big news could be that WWE may have just confirmed a Nikki Cross call up from NXT. It is either that, or she is up there to represent the women of NXT.

My money is on the former possibility. When SAnitY debuted on the main roster after WrestleMania, many expected their stablemate, Nikki Cross, to follow suit. Instead, she was kept off the main roster and continued her work in NXT.

However, Cross has been competing at WWE Live Events for the SmackDown brand alongside the likes of Becky Lynch and Naomi in tag team matches. Also, SAnitY is currently in a tournament to decide the #1 contenders to the Bludgeon Brothers’ SmackDown Tag Team Champions, so there would be no better time for Cross to debut and help out her brethren.

Nikki Cross has been incredibly successful in NXT as both a heel and a face despite never capturing NXT gold. She has done just about everything there is to do, and now it is time for her to make a splash on the main roster.

Whether as a part of the SAnitY stable or on her own in the Women’s Division, Nikki Cross will surely make a longstanding impact in WWE, and hopefully her inclusion in this announcement was the start of that.
