Ding, dong, the witch Brock Lesnar is dead. As the Beast Incarnate buzzes off to the UFC, it’s fun to look into the future and figure out where the WWE can go from here. These are the next five likeliest WWE Universal Champions, in order.

Most of talking about professional wrestling is reckless speculation. Even in WWE, where “backstage information” seems to be plentiful, that information being right is a totally different story. Nevertheless, it’s fun to try to predict what may be next for Vince McMahon’s ever-continuing march into different entertainment storylines.

Following SummerSlam, the entire landscape of the WWE has changed. After a 504-day reign of legitimate terror, Brock Lesnar has finally dropped the Universal Championship to Roman Reigns. After countless tries, some of which were totally undeserved in storyline, Reigns finally climbed the mountain, grabbed the brass ring, and took Raw‘s top prize off of the Beast Incarnate.

So what’s next? Or rather, to take a page out of the book of Bill Goldberg, who’s next? On Monday Night Raw, an increasingly babyface-heavy show, it’s not as though Reigns has a bevy of heel challengers at his disposal. Even with the low amount of challengers, the number of heels that actually have a chance to defeat Roman is even lower.

But, we have to make due with what we have on Raw. So with that said, these are the most likely next five WWE Universal Champions, in the order they will win the championship.
