‘Starrcast’ To Host Vido Game Tournament For St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
This Saturday, September 1st, the biggest independent wrestling show will be taking place as The Young Bucks and Cody host ‘All In’- emanating from Chicago, Illinois. However, news coming out of the podcast convention, Starrcast, running at the same time as the show is also grabbing the attention of fans.
As ‘All In’ draws ever closer, attention is naturally brought to Starrcast; the four day podcast convention starting tomorrow, August 30th, before concluding the day after All In takes place, Sunday the 2nd of September.
It has just been announced today through a press release that an eight-person video game tournament will be taking place on Friday, August 31- from 10:00am to 11:30am/CST, and will be hosted by professional wrestler Leva Bates.
For those not attending the event, you can watch the tournament online at the Twitch link below. The tournament will feature seven celebrities and the final spot will be awarded to one lucky fan that enters into an auction. All proceeds from the event and Starrcast in general will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The celebrities that will be involved in the video game tournament include;
Noelle Foley- TV Personality, avid video gamer and daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley.
Sean Waltman (X-Pac)- Former WWE, WCW and TNA professional wrestler
Ron Fuches- Comedian and actor
Bruce Pritchard- Former WWE and WCW employee, current host of ‘Something to Wrestle with Bruce Pritchard’ podcast
Sami Callihan- Current Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground professional wrestler
All members of the tournament will be playing the newly released Fire Pro Wrestling World game and, as mentioned, all proceeds will be going towards St. Jude Children’s Research hospital.
St. Jude Children’s Research hospital is currently the only National Cancer institute-designated Cancer center which is entirely dedicated to the health and safety of children battling the disease. Solely through this hospitals effort- the survival rate of children with cancer has improved from 20% to 80%. It is clear to see why the people in charge of Starrcast and All In chose this fantastic cause to donate to.
