Flip Gordon w/ Brandi Rhodes vs. “The Black Machismo” Jay Lethal w/ “The Genius” Lanny Poffo – ROH World Championship

Lethal and Gordon did the Mega Powers Handshake. Lethal went and grabbed Brandi Rhodes, because he thought she was Elizabeth. Lethal and Flip started the match with very fast offence. Lethal chased Brandi around the ring, and she said, “I am not Liz! Leave me alone.” Lethal grabbed her and posed like she was Elizabeth. Brandi hit his shoulder and he turned back into Jay Lethal.

Jay went for a clothesline, and Flip ducked it and kicked up. Flip did his series of kick ups, and he sent Lethal flying to the floor. Gordon hit two topes, and went for a third, just like Lethal, but he hit a tope con giro. Back in the ring, a series of pinfall attempts were exchanged. Lethal ate a kick on the top rope, and then he hit a Lethal Combination. Gordon hit a flying knee and a Falcon Arrow.

The champion locked on a torture rack and called for Lethal to do an elbow drop. Lanny slapped Lethal’s shoulder, and he became Black Machismo again! Lethal hit the flying elbow on Gordon, and went back up to hit a second. Lethal hit a second and went for a third. Gordon kicked out and started Hulking up! Gordon hit three punches, a big boot, and then went for a leg drop, but Lethal went for a clothesline. Gordon dodged, hit a kick, and hit the springboard sling blade.

Gordon hit the Samoan Pop and a twisting moonsault, but Lethal kicked out. Gordon went for a top rope hurricanrana, but Lethal countered. Gordon went for a springboard hurricanrana off the top rope, but Lethal countered and hit the Lethal Injection off the top rope! He hit a second one, and scored the pinfall over Flip!

Lethal shook Flip’s hand, and Bully Ray ran down to attack both men. Bully Ray attacked Lanny Poffo too, and the crowd booed. Ray setup a table, and Colt Cabana made the save. Lethal, Gordon, and Ray powerbombed him through the table.
