Wrestling Fans React To Chris Jericho Appearing At All In 2018

Chris Jericho has been having an insane 2018, but he may have outdid himself when it comes to making news by appearing at All In 2018 to attack Kenny Omega. Wrestling fans sure had a field day reacting to the shocking appearance on Twitter.

There is little doubt that Chris Jericho is one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of this business, and there are some who are willing to agree that his nickname, GOAT, matches reality. Jericho and Kenny Omega are familiar foes, given that they wrestled a great match at Wrestle Kingdom 12 for the IWGP United States Championship, so it made all the sense in the world for Jericho to call him out again at All In 2018.

That said, it was truly shocking to see Jericho at the event, and this would have seemed unimaginable even just months earlier. But maybe there were signs that Jericho was willing to make this kind of a splash, especially given the speculation that he could be interested in working with Impact Wrestling.

When the lights went out after Omega’s scintillating victory over Pentagon Jr. at All In, fans immediately started wondering who could make a surprise entrance. Dressed up as Pentagon, Jericho put the boots to Omega before revealing himself to the IWGP Heavyweight Champion and calling him out for the Jericho Cruise.

The reactions on Twitter were predictably amazing.

We were ALL screaming and marking out as hard as Josiah!

Yes, please!

And there’s someone else who sees Jericho as the GOAT.

You know what? Jericho IS the master of disguises! I mean, Naito and now Omega can surely attest to that! He’s a man of many talents, and coming up with the perfect disguise is an important talent to have in pro wrestling. The guy knows how to work the media, too, and that’s a disguise of its own.

Jericho was #ALLIN, #ALLALONG!

One fan noticed the similarities between Jericho’s strategy and Sami Callihan’s. Jericho and Callihan, like Pentagon and Callihan, have certainly had their differences. Maybe Callihan uses this trick from Jericho as a reason to angle for a fight, though it’s not like he needs a reason, per se…

All of these reactions go to show you that Chris Jericho remains one of the few people in wrestling who can cause a giant stir. It would be cool if more wrestlers with his name value were willing to do this, but it takes a lot of work and not many wrestlers have been able to build this kind of reputation. I mean, how many WWE legends are still in good enough shape to do what he does and pick their spots like this?

I’d say All In 2018 has been a huge success, and Jericho’s surprise appearance was the icing on the cake to an entertaining show!

So yeah, Jericho is out here making his case that he’s as valuable as Brock Lesnar, and wrestling fans seem to be ready to buy that.
