Isla Dawn and Millie McKenzie Will Face Off At PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 77
On Sunday Oct. 28, Millie McKenzie and Isla Dawn will square off at PROGRESS Wrestling’s Chapter 77 show, and this match should be an absolute treat for those who are able to watch.
Millie McKenzie is the fastest-rising on the UK pro wrestling scene, as she recently competed against PROGRESS Wrestling Women’s Champion Jinny and Toni Storm at PROGRESS’s “Hello Wembley” show last month. While McKenzie was unsuccessful in her bid to dethrone Jinny, she produced another impressive performance on a grand stage.
Isla Dawn is no stranger to impressing on a big stage, as she participated in the Mae Young Classic 2. The NXT UK star couldn’t overcome Nicole Matthews’s veteran experience and heartless execution, but her in-ring skills and character made an impact in that first-round matchup.
In about two weeks on Oct. 28, McKenzie and Dawn will have a singles match at PROGRESS Wrestling’s Chapter 77 show, also known as “Pumpkin Spice Progress”. Nothing specific is on the line, but the winner would figure to have a strong case for challenging Jinny in head-to-head competition, which PROGRESS noted in a tweet hyping up the match.
PROGRESS has its own streaming service, which can be accessed at this link. It costs $7.99 a month to subscribe to their on-demand content, which includes past shows, such as Chapter 76 (“Hello Wembley”).
Dawn vs. McKenzie should be an awesome match, and these two will go all-out for this opportunity to impress and build their case for a future title shoe. McKenzie always wrestles with a chip on her shoulder, and her suplexes are among the best in all of wrestling.
The “Pumpkin Spice PROGRESS” show will take place at The Electric Ballroom in Camden, London, and tickets have unsurprisingly sold out. PROGRESS is one of the most popular wrestling promotions in the world, and they have a passionate fanbase that regularly sells out shows well in advance (two December shows are already sold out).
Chapter 77’s main event will pit WALTER, the PROGRESS Wrestling Champion, against Zack Sabre Jr., and Trent Seven will offer an open challenge (those are always fun) for the Atlas Championship.
