WWE Raw: Results, Review, and Analysis for November 5th, 2018
Tonight on WWE Raw, we’ve got a newly crowned Universal Champion to address and the same ole’ Tag Team Champions who want nothing to do with each other except pummel one another. What could possible go wrong?
Well, everyone, we made it. It’s officially after the dumpster fire that was WWE Crown Jewel, and we now have a new Universal Champion, and he’s of the reigning, defending, undisputed variety (well, they all are, but you get it).
That’s right – at Crown Jewel last Friday, Brock Lesnar once again won the Universal Championship. I’m too tired to annoyed by it.
Tonight on Raw of course, somebody’s going to have some explaining to do, and my money’s on the fact that it’s going to be Baron Corbin, who whacked Lesnar’s Crown Jewel opponent Braun Strowman in the back with the Universal Championship belt before the match.
I would be willing to put real-life money on the odds that there will be a segment tonight where Braun Strowman absolutely tears through the backstage area looking for Baron Corbin, complete with shouts of “you’re gonna get these hands”, and probably “I’m gonna kill you”.
That also brings into question whether or not WWE’s planning on continuing the budding Baron Corbin/Elias feud, what with Braun Strowman breaking down doors looking for him, but I digress.
Ronda Rousey will also be on Raw tonight to address Becky Lynch and her claims last week that she could rip Ronda’s arm off at Survivor Series.
This isn’t a fair fight at all, and not in the way you would think. Becky’s promo last week, even though it couldn’t have taken up more than five minutes or air time, already blew Ronda’s promo out of the water in my opinion.
The elephant in the room tonight is really one pointed question – hey, are you guys going to say anything about the fact that our Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose absolutely hate each other?
WWE kept Seth and Dean pretty far away from each other last week, about the distance between the middle of the ring and the entrance to the 100’s section at the Spectrum Center to be exact.
That’s really not doing much for the Tag Team Championships, and WWE, Corbin, anybody, is going to have to address the status of Seth and Dean as champions tonight.
What should the answer be? Give the belts to The Revival. What will the answer likely be? Let’s have a tournament but then give the championships back to Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre.
All this and a lot more LASH-LEY chants to fill my cold heart tonight on WWE Raw!
Tune into Raw tonight on the USA Network at 8PM/7PM Central for all the action, and follow along with us here tonight for live results, review, and analysis of tonight’s show!
