NXT TakeOver WarGames 2: Ricochet Hit A Reverse 630 Off The Cage

We knew Ricochet would do something special at WWE NXT TakeOver WarGames 2, but few could have predicted a reverse 630 off of the top of the cage.

Ricochet has dazzled professional wrestling fans for years, and in a matter of months, he’s already become a big-time fan favorite in WWE NXT.

At NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2, Ricochet competed in the WarGames match in the main event of the Pay Per View, teaming up with Pete Dunne and Hanson and Rowe of the War Raiders to take on the Undisputed Era.

Adam Cole has long been a thorn in Ricochet’s side, as the two feuded over the North American Championship. Both familiar foes started the match with some great sequences, but the highlight of the match had to have been Ricochet’s insane reverse 630 off the top of the cage.

Simply stunning.

Ricochet blows all of our collective minds whenever he steps in between those ropes (or, as was the case with The Velveteen Dream, leaps outside of them), and he’s known as “The One And Only” for a reason.

In a match with insane spots like Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong’s double submission on Pete Dunne, another huge spot that involved Cole being superplexed, and some huge moves from Hanson (this year’s Killian Dain inside WarGames), Ricochet had the craziest one.

Dunne and Ricochet, who have formed a heart-warming alliance despite their previous battles in champion vs. champion matches with both titles on the line (matches that the Undisputed Era callously interrupted), both pinned the nefarious Cole in cathartic fashion. As the two rose to face each other with their respective championships over their shoulders, they stared with nothing but mutual respect after going to war.

The odds were stacked against the Undisputed Era, who cheated on the go-home show to obtain the “man advantage” and cheated during the match when Bobby Fish locked Dunne into his cage.

Ricochet’s reverse 630 off the top of the cage, however, stole the show in a chaotic match, and it was our Jesse Velasquez who wondered if “King Ricochet” could hit a shooting star press, moonsault, or 630 off the top of the cage.

Of course, Ricochet went for the most outlandish spot, and the result was an exclamation point on another wonderful NXT TakeOver.
