Raw: Dean Ambrose Speaks

Seth Rollins and the WWE Universe have been impatiently waiting for Dean Ambrose to address his heinous actions last month, but Ambrose is, of course, a man of few words. His WWE Chronicle episode, which airs after NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2, will likely give us the real reasons behind his decision to betray The Shield, but Ambrose did finally cut a promo on Raw this week.

Standing in the parking lot, Ambrose addressed Rollins’s in-ring promo from the titantron, playing more mindgames. Ambrose told the crowd that they don’t deserve an explanation for his actions, but clarified that he is more than man enough to enter the arena to speak to Rollins and beat him up.

Dean hated on the fans for complaining about his betrayal, joking that “The Architect” doesn’t have the answers this time. Rightfully, Ambrose points out that Rollins treated him like an “imbecile” and a “charity case”. Better yet, he stated that he’s always been the same person, he was just too selfish for not seeing what was going on around him.

Ambrose shrugs off the notion that he might feel remorse for his actions in the future, but he realizes that The Shield made him weak. Being their “brothers” and watching their backs was a “burden” that made him weak.

He then poured gasoline on his Shield vest and threw it into a combusting trash can.

Now that’s a promo.

Although Ambrose spoke about his feelings, he didn’t get specific with the rationale behind his betrayal, and that’s perfect. He shouldn’t be completely open with the audience as a heel, and it seems like Ambrose will have more to say in the coming weeks, as more of the truth slowly starts to come out. It seems like Ambrose was justified in his actions, and I wonder if Rollins is feeling guilty about how he took Ambrose for granted.
