The final main roster pay-per-view of the year in the WWE is only days away with WWE TLC 2018 looming as an event that could help shape the pending new year for the company.

WWE Tables, Ladders, and Chairs 2018 is headlined by several key matches from both Raw and SmackDown with championships at stake and major momentum on the line as well.

This event is primarily headlined by the blue brand, but the red brand should make its impact felt as well.  That begs the question, which superstars need a win the most at TLC?  With that being said, let’s take a look at three superstars that need a win at WWE TLC 2018.

3. Daniel Bryan

One of the most shocking moments in the WWE in 2018 came on the SmackDown leading into Survivor Series last month when Daniel Bryan did the unthinkable.  Not only did he win the WWE Championship, but he did so by turning heel in the process after one of the most successful babyface runs in WWE history in years prior.

Bryan’s return to in-ring competition was shocking enough after appearing to be sidelined permanently with injury issues, but seeing him turn heel and defeat AJ Styles for the WWE Championship was truly shocking.  And since then, ‘The New’ Daniel Bryan has been taking the WWE by storm and establishing himself as the top heel on Tuesday nights.

His run as a heel champion has been great so far, with a standout match at Survivor Series with Brock Lesnar and several memorable promos since, but his reign will be challenged at TLC when Bryan defends the WWE Championship against The Phenomenal One.  Styles wants to make Bryan pay for the weeks of attacks and underhanded antics, but ‘The New’ Daniel Bryan is unlike any version of his character we’ve ever seen before.

The WWE Champion will do whatever it takes to retain his title, and that is exactly what needs to happen at TLC.  It just wouldn’t make much sense to have Bryan keep the title for this short of an amount of time, especially given how good his new character has been lately and how good it can be in the future.  This feels fresh, and the WWE needs to see it play out further.

He doesn’t even have to necessarily win the match, but ‘The New’ Daniel Bryan needs to keep his WWE Championship at TLC, by hook or by crook.
