This year’s WWE Royal Rumble comes to us in just over one week, and it’s looking like a truly spectacular show. We’ve got the two marquee matches, but also several top-tier championship contests to look forward to. Who will walk out victorious and set their sights on WrestleMania 35?

Every year, things start to pick up as WWE sets their path on the Road to WrestleMania. No event represents that better than the annual WWE Royal Rumble. This year we prepare for the 32nd installment of the event, and only the second Women’s Royal Rumble Match.

For three decades, the WWE Royal Rumble was all about one man punching his ticket to WrestleMania. Now we’ve got a card with two championship matches featuring women and an entire 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match.

As important as that history is, those women are certainly thinking about WrestleMania. The Royal Rumble is an opportunity not just to stand out on the big stage, but to truly jumpstart your career. There’s no shortage of superstars who have used the match as a launching pad, and this year will be no different.

However, those aren’t the only matches to worry about. The traditional path to the main event of WrestleMania is to win the Royal Rumble, but you can circumvent that if you walk into WrestleMania as the champion.

Whether that’s as the WWE Champion, Raw Women’s Champion, Universal Champion, or SmackDown Women’s Champion, all four titles provide the possibility of getting to main event WrestleMania 35.
