AEW already made Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho and PAC vs. Hangman Page official for their first show as a company, and they’ve recently added another exciting match to the Double or Nothing card.
On May 25 in Las Vegas, AEW, All Elite Wrestling, will present its first wrestling event as a company. We’ve already seen a “rally” in Jacksonville and a more recent “Ticket Party” in Las Vegas from the crew, but their first real chance at making a big impression on the wrestling world will come in approximately three months.
PAC vs. Hangman Page and Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho have already been announced for Double or Nothing on May 25, and AEW recently announced a third, exciting match for the show.
The participants? Nyla Rose, Kylie Rae, and Britt Baker, who are three of the most talented up-and-coming women’s wrestlers in the world.

Of course, the argument can be made that Dr. Baker has already “arrived”. She once wrestled Shayna Baszler in NXT, shined at All In’s Fatal Four-Way, wrestled Nia Jax on Raw, formed the awesome “Fire and Nice” tag team with Chelsea Green, and was a two-time Women’s Champion in her hometown promotion, IWC.
Rae and Baker are close friends and will be able to share the ring on a huge stage in Vegas with Rose, who is definitely a name to watch going forward. While Rose isn’t well-known, she is the first openly trans wrestler to sign with a major promotion and, based on her matches with independent promotions like Warrior Wrestling, is a breakout star in the making for AEW.
It’s awesome to see how many young stars are getting a chance to shine in AEW, and all three of these women qualify as future stars. (Or current stars, depending on how well-acquainted you are with these three wrestlers.)
This Triple Threat match should be fantastic, and it’s a huge addition to AEW’s Double or Nothing card, which already boasts a dream match between PAC and Page. For women’s wrestling fans, Baker vs. Rae vs. Rose counts as a dream match, too, and hopefully they get plenty of time for a fair shot at stealing a (likely) loaded show.
TJPW’s Aja Kong and Yuka Sakazaki were also announced for the show, so it will be interesting to see where they’ll be on the card. AEW has plenty of time to reveal the rest of the card, so it was awesome for them to get the fans hyped on a typically dreary mid-February day (I live in Cleveland, let me vent here!) with a thrilling women’s wrestling match announcement.
