Now that Dean Ambrose has officially rebranded as Jon Moxley, we have five possible feuds and matches in mind for the man’s return to the independent wrestling scene.

It was about this time last week that Dean Ambrose shocked the world with a promo trailer on Twitter. Not only did he tease a return to the independent wrestling scene, but he returned to his pre-WWE name of Jon Moxley.

Prior to coming to WWE, Jon Moxley made a name for himself on the indies, most notably in CZW. There, he was best known for his deathmatches and hardcore showcases. While Moxley may very well go make a return to the deathmatch scene – something he seemed to hint at in his promo package as he gripped a barbed wire – that is not to say that he won’t have a few regular ole singles matches here and there. Regardless of the match type, we are excited to see who Mox faces on the indies next.

That is the real beauty behind Mox’s return to the independent wrestling scene: the fact that it has the opportunity to bring to life several different dream matches. Many of the matches we hoped to see featuring Mox that we thought would never happen may very well happen in the near future for any one of the indie promotions out now. There are five indie stars in particular who many of us would love to see take on The Lunatic Fringe wrestle in a one-on-one capacity soon.
