5 opponents for Jon Moxley on the indies

1. Sami Callihan

Sami Callihan and Moxley have a deep, rich history with each other. Before Mox made the big move to WWE, he and Callihan shared the ring on countless occasions; both side by side as the Switchblade Conspiracy and across the ring against each other. Both as a tag team and as opponents, their chemistry was always undeniable.

Right after Moxley posted his promo trailer, Callihan in a tweet teased out what appeared to be something of an invitation for Moxley to one day join him on the independent scene, or maybe even join him in IMPACT Wrestling.

This opens the door for Moxley to possibly join oVe as the Ohio stable’s latest and fifth member. Or this could very well be setting the stage for another tussle between the two frenemies. Either way, just thinking about these two sharing a ring again sounds like an interesting prospect.

However, me personally, I think that there is more intrigue and storyline potential in Moxley defying the oVe invitation and instead feuding with them (and their leader, specifically) rather than joining them.

We all recently saw the kind of blood feud that Callihan had with Rich Swann on IMPACT after Swann refused to join oVe. Swann vs. Callihan at IMPACT Rebellion was already violent enough. Moxley vs. Callihan on the same grounds would be a downright bloody massacre.
