5. Sami Zayn

Well, this was a little out of the blue, wasn’t it?

This is undoubtedly the move that’s given me the most interest in this Money in the Bank match. Braun Strowman has been the focal point of every match he’s been in since the brand split began in 2015, to the detriment of literally everybody he’s opposed. Sheamus and Cesaro? Buried? Six men in an Elimination Chamber? Buried. Brock Lesnar? Buried. Literally. He was put through two tables and had another one thrown over him. The man was as buried as buried can be.

And so, instead, we have ourselves a talented athlete with some strong heel heat behind him who can add to the match without taking attention away from anyone else. Between Zayn, Ricochet, Balor and Andrade we have some immensely talented and fast paced high fliers who can embellish the power game of a Corbin or a McIntyre and potentially result in some very memorable spots.

His chance of winning though? Low. WWE management don’t seem to look at Zayn as championship material, given that he’s never held a main roster title and only challenged for a top title in a group dynamic. In addition, Zayn doesn’t really have a feud lined up, or even much of a storyline at current. As good as the moment of shock was, I can’t see Sami carrying the briefcase.
