If there is one word to describe WWE main roster programming recently it would be dull. Right now, the entire main roster if being held up by two things.

There is a reason why WWE ratings have hit an all-time low and continue to be lower than the company has ever experienced. Aside from the dying breed that is cable television, WWE has simply failed its job of producing engaging storytelling and consistently putting on good wrestling.

It is really unfortunate, as WWE has some of the most talented wrestlers in the world who are capable of doing so much more than they are. Most wrestling fans knows that the issues start from the top down.

Nothing has changed since The McMahons came out on television and declared there would be change and fans should not expect there to be any change. As long as WWE is still booking massive shows in Saudi Arabia and landing huge advertisers, then Vince McMahon will be convinced that his system is working.

As a result, there is a lot of dull storytelling on weekly programming. Somehow, though, the company has stumbled into two great storylines that have literally been holding the rest of the main roster up.

That does not mean everything else is terrible. The four main champions, Kofi Kingston, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch and Bayley, are refreshingly all great champions.

However, while they all have a big following, they are still not the most consistently intriguing parts of WWE programming at the moment. Here are two Superstars and their respective gimmicks that are putting WWE on their backs.
