Christopher Daniels (SCU) vs. CIMA (Strong Hearts)

Daniels started the match with a armdrag and armbar to keep CIMA on the mat. Daniels couldn’t keep CIMA down for long though, as he hit a dropkick and a baseball slid to the outside. CIMA hit a flipping senton to the chest of Daniels once it was back in the ring. CIMA locked on a submission, and Daniels had to drag himself to the ropes.

CIMA hit the ropes and Daniels hit a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, and then hit a Northern Lights Suplex on the floor. Daniels slammed CIMA on the mat twice before hitting an STO, but CIMA kicked out. Daniels hit a vertical suplex and a moonsault on the back before locking on the crossface.

Daniels drove CIMA into the corner and hit shoulder thrusts to the stomach before running at the corner. CIMA dodged and hit a lung blower on Daniels. CIMA hit an Iconoclasm, but Daniels kicked out. CIMA went for a suplex, but his back gave out and Daniels hit a Blue Thunder Bomb and then Angel’s Wings! CIMA kicked out.

CIMA hit an enziguri and then hit a sunset flip running powerbomb on Daniels before hitting the Perfect Driver, but Daniels kicked out! Daniels. CIMA hit an island Driver before hitting Metora and got the pinfall over Christopher Daniels! This was a huge win for CIMA, who has much needed momentum going into his match against Kenny Omega at Fight for the Fallen.

Result: CIMA

Rating *** (3 stars out of 5)

This was an excellent opener for the main card, and firmly established CIMA as a threat to anyone he faces. Fantastic match. Daniels and CIMA shook hands after the match and Daniels left the ring to let CIMA celebrate.
