Tony Schiavone announced that Allin and Jimmy Havoc would be facing each other because of Allin’s win here, and that Jericho would defend his title against the winner on AEW Dynamite later in the month.

The Hybrid2 (Jack Evans & Angelico) & The Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix) vs. The Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta) & Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marc Quen) w/ Orange Cassidy

Jack Evans faceplanted as he tried to enter the ring, in a spot that no one talked about, but it was hilarious. Evans claimed that the Lucha Bros were the B-team and tried to do the Cero Miedo sign, but Private Party kicked them in the face. All 8 men immediately bounced around the ring until the Lucha Bros started getting the heat on Kassidy.

Angelico and Evans hit some tandem offense before tagging out to Pentagon Jr. who killed Kassidy with a chop. Fenix ended up trying to go into a wheelbarrow with Pentagon, but Kassidy ran up Fenix and hit Pentagon. Evans cut off Kassidy by attacking Quen and they tried to keep him in the ring.

Quen managed to make the tag to Chuck Taylor, who hit a Destino on Angelico, and then Trent Beretta hit a tornado DDT. Jack Evans hit a springboard flipping back elbow on the Best Friends, breaking up a hug attempt. Trent hit a sliding German on Evans, and Chuck sent him to the floor. The Best Friends went for a dive, but the Lucha Bros cut them off. Quen hit a dive on the Lucha Bros.

The Best Friends went for a dive again, but Angelico and Evans dodged. Orange Cassidy got in between them and the Best Friends, but Angelico dropped Cassidy, to boos from the crowd. Back in the ring, Evans and Angelico tried to keep the advantage on Private Party, but it didn’t last long, as they managed to hit their double team tornado DDT. Fenix superkicked the glasses of Quen’s face.

Chuck Taylor put them on, hit the ropes, but Trent cut him off and hugged him. Trent and Chuck hit stereo dives and then Taylor put the sunglasses back on Quen. Orange Cassidy dived off the top rope onto everyone, and I’m not sure why that wasn’t a DQ. The Best Friends went for Strong Zero on Pentagon, but Fenix flipped into a neck breaker on Trent. Pentagon and Fenix hit the combo stomp/Package piledriver on Trent and scored the pinfall.

Result: The Lucha Brothers & Hybrid2

Rating: ***3/4 (3.75)

Very exciting tag match here. This was excellent.
