AEW is bringing out the best in tag team wrestling on Wednesday nights, and they showed that they are serious by having Private Party pull off an incredible upset over the Young Bucks.

Along with the Lucha Brothers and the Usos, the Young Bucks are regarded as one of the best tag teams in wrestling. But even an undefeated New England Patriots team lost a Super Bowl, and AEW, with their sports-centric approach, reminded fans that anything can happen in a wrestling ring. Private Party, comprised of Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen, picked up a massive upset.

AEW is currently holding a tag team tournament to determine the first AEW World Tag Team Champions, and the finals will be on the Oct. 30 episode. This was a first-round matchup between Private Party and the Young Bucks, and after this massive win over the tournament favorites, Kassidy and Quen look like the team to beat.

And fans loved every second of it!

Definitely credit to the Bucks, too. Part of the reason why everyone thought Private Party couldn’t possibly win is because the Bucks are executives in AEW. But they put over Private Party huge in this match, and everyone is hyped up. The tournament feels like that much bigger of a deal after this result.

We always have to get world-class wrestler Shazza McKenzie’s take, and even she was shocked by Private Party’s massive victory!

Could they go all the way?

Kassidy and Quen are going to get sooooo over on Wednesday nights.

Yes, they are certified #good.

Now that Private Party have a huge win over the Young Bucks under their belts and are moving on in the tag title tournament, it will be exciting to see what they do next as a follow-up. They are on fire after this incredible match and win, and AEW will surely capitalize strongly on their momentum following this highly successful debut match on television.

Aren’t tournaments in wrestling just the best?
