After a brief ad for the NWA’s December pay-per-view, Into the Fire, we got a look at presumptive jobbers Jordan Kingsley and Sal Rinauro before Galli spoke to Colt Cabana. The former NWA National Champion talked about how current champ James Storm took the title from him when he was less than 100 percent and proceeded to jump up and down to prove that he’s back at full strength.

Like just about everyone else, Cabana put over the promotion and stated that he was in the NWA for championships, be it the National, World, or tag titles. Galli asked Cabana who his partner would be for his tag match, but before Cabana could answer, a boisterous “MISTEEEEERRRRRRRR ANDERSON!!!!!!!!” bellowed out from behind the curtain.

Ken Anderson then emerged and joined Cabana on the interview set and finished his catchphrase. Anderson said that “Boom Boom” could’ve picked anyone to tag with and he picked “this @$$hole”. He then said that they could talk about how big and bad they are Galli and the fans already know. He and Cabana ended things with a joint self-introduction before heading to the ring. A fun segment. Cabana is always great in spots like this and that was the most entertaining Anderson has been in years.

Colt Cabana and Mr. Anderson vs. Sal Rinauro and Jordan Kingsley

On a side note: there’s something deliciously karmic in a guy as problematic as Jim Cornette having to call a match featuring one of the men that he views as a scourge to the sport. He did his job and put Cabana over, but it probably pained him to do so.

As the crowd serenaded Anderson with “Welcome Back” chants, Cabana and Rinauro chain wrestled for a bit before going into his usual comedy spots. He tagged in Anderson shortly thereafter and worked over Rinauro and Kingsley.

After dumping Rinauro out of the ring, Anderson turned Kingsley inside out with a lariat before tagging Cabana back in to continue the onslaught on the ham-and-egger. Anderson tagged back in and as he hoisted Kingsley up for the Green Bay Plunge, Rinauro blind-tagged himself in. Anderson hit the move on Kingsley and caught a springboarding Rinauro in a fireman’s carry position hit the Plunge on top of Kingsley. After some more Cabana offense, Anderson hit the Mic Check on Rinauro and scored the clean pin.

Winners: Anderson and Cabana (Anderson pinned Rinauro)

Rating: N/A. Kudos to those jobbers for making Anderson and Cabana look good. That was a fun squash match. Hopefully, we see more of Anderson and Cabana as a team because they have some pretty good chemistry.

We then see footage from earlier in the day, as cameras caught Nick Aldis leaving the studio, presumably following his interview with Galli. A visibly frustrated Aldis put himself over as a great company representative before saying that he didn’t sign up for “this” and that this was the NWA, not TMZ, again critiquing Galli for daring to ask him questions before getting in his Jaguar. A nice teaser for the interview, as it was designed to make the audience wonder what Galli asked him that made the champ so flustered.
