Strong Hearts (T-Hawk (0-1) & Cima (1-4)) & Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy) (2-2) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) (3-3) & The Rhodes Brothers (Cody (3-1-1) & Dustin Rhodes (0-3)) w/ Brandi Rhodes & MJF

Cody and Cima started the match and locked up. Cima took Cody down, so Cody rolled to the outside and kissed Brandi. He pretended to get ready to kiss MJF, but MJF ran away. Once he got back in the ring, all 8 men got in the ring and faced off. The referee managed to get all the men back on the apron, and Cody pointed to Dustin and tagged him in to face off against T-Hawk.

T-Hawk chopped Dustin, but Dustin hit a shoulder block and a clothesline. Dustin tagged Nick Jackson in, who immediately tagged in Matt Jackson, and Matt launched Nick over his head into a dropkick on T-Hawk who was then spinebustered by Dustin Rhodes. Nick Jackson ate a spinebuster from T-Hawk. T-Hawk chopped Matt and threatened to chop Cody, so Cody left the ring and hopped over into the front row and sat down.

Cima hit a slingshot senton on Matt Jackson and locked on a seated abdominal stretch and then grabbed his feet and split his legs. Quen tagged in and hit a double sledge on Matt Jackson. Kassidy hit a flying double stomp on Matt’s arm. Kassidy posed like the Bucks and MJF threatened to get in the ring. Kassidy then hit Cody, and Cody had to hold MJF back.

Matt Jackson hit 3 Northern Lights suplexes on Quen, then a capture suplex into the corner, which sent Quen into Kassidy. Nick Jackson came in and ran wild all over the ring and outside, taking everyone out more than once. Private Party managed to hit Gin and Juice on Nick Jackson, followed by a Meteora on Nick and a shooting star press from Quen. Nick somehow kicked out.

T-Hawk tried to chop Nick Jackson as Cima held him. Cima and Nick kept doing standing switches until T-Hawk swung and Nick ducked and he accidentally hit Cima. Dustin tagged in and he hit T-Hawk with a good uppercut and then hit scoop powerslams on everyone but Kassidy. He stopped him to catch his breathe, and then gave the thumbs up before hitting it on Kassidy.

Cody ran up the ropes and hit a dive on T-Hawk. Private Party hit tope con giro’s on Cody and Dustin. The Bucks came in and hit double dropkicks and Nick Jackson did a corkscrew plancha onto everyone. Brandi Rhodes decided to climb on the top rope, but the ref talked her down. MJF distracted the ref and Brandi hit a cannonball off the apron onto everyone.

MJF came in and Cody kept the ref distracted while MJF hit the ropes for a dive himself, but he kept running back and forth and then flipped the crowd off. Cima came in behind him and hit the back stabber. Cody grabbed Cima and hit the Cross Rhodes. T-Hawk hit a popup knee, and the Bucks hit a double superkick on T-Hawk.

Private Party and the Bucks faced off and started punching each other. Quen went for a pele, but the Bucks dodged and hit double superkicks. The Bucks then hit two more superkicks on Kassidy. Kassidy was sent to the ropes and Private Party went for Silly String, but the Bucks cut them off and hit two superkicks to send them to the floor.

The Rhodes brothers went for combo Shattered Dreams, but Private Party cut them off. The Bucks and the Rhodes’ responded with 4 superkicks that dropped Private Party. The set all four men up in the corner and as MJF distracted the ref, all four men hit Shattered Dreams. Dustin hit Final Reckoning on T-Hawk and got the pinfall victory.

Result: The Young Bucks (4-3) & Cody (4-1-1) & Dustin Rhodes (1-3)

This match was a ton of fun. There were a lot of great comedy spots and great action all around.

Another fun episode of AEW Dark. AEW has done a good job making this a very entertaining show, however AEW has made the mistake of not referencing Dark on AEW Dynamite last week. I hope they correct that mistake this week and show us what happened with Omega/Janela to the wider audience can be caught up on the story.

AEW has a lot of great things going for them, including the wonderful promos on this show. We need to see these style promos on AEW Dynamite in order to get these new characters over. I still want to hear from The Dark Order. I want to know their motivation and who they are. I know their previous gimmick – The Super Smash Bros, but I want to know why they are now this creepy cult. If QT Marshall wrestles on AEW Dynamite, I want to see the interview they did here, as it helped me know who he was and it gave me a reason to cheer him on.

AEW has a great foundation forming with their TV between AEW Dynamite and AEW Dark. Let’s just iron out those continuity things, where the stuff that happens on Dark should be briefly recapped on Dynamite, as the wins and losses are counted on Dark. We had a great main event on this show, and it was a ton of fun. Be sure to check it out. AEW Dark, this week, is another win.
