Nick Aldis, Colt Cabana, and Ken Anderson vs. James Storm and The Wildcards (Thomas Latimer and Royce Issacs)

Aldis and Storm started things for their respective teams. They circled the ring for a bit before Latimer tagged himself in. The two compatriots chain wrestled for a bit before Latimer yanked the champion down by the hair.

Aldis worked his way up and the two traded more holds before Aldis whipped Latimer into the ropes. Latimer caught the world champ with a kick, but Aldis countered with a clothesline and a kick.

Anderson then tagged in and worked over Latimer’s arm for a bit, hitting a jumping armbar for a nearfall. Latimer got in a cheap shot and tagged Issacs in, but Anderson subdued him with a drop toehold before transitioning into a front chancery.

He held on and tagged in Cabana, who slungshot into a sunset flip for a nearfall. Latimer tagged back in and ate right hands from Cabana, but Issacs cut Cabana off before he could connect with the elbow. They tried a double team move but Cabana ducked and hit them with a double Bionic Elbow.

He nailed Latimer with a hurricanrana and begged for Storm to get in the ring, but Latimer and Issacs cut him off. Storm then tagged in and teed off on Cabana before hitting a back elbow for a one count. The heels proceeded to get the heat on Cabana for a bit, as Latimer, Issacs, and Storm took turns getting their offense in.

Cabana eventually turned the tables by driving his feet in a diving Issacs’ face before getting the hot tag to Anderson. He ran wild on the heels, punctuating things with a rolling senton to Latimer for a nearfall.

Anderson hit Latimer with the Mic Check, but Issacs ran in with a flying elbow to Anderson. Aldis then came in with a second-rope dropkick on Issacs before eating a Codebreaker from Storm. A double clothesline took those two out, leaving everyone incapacitated as the crowd applauded these men’s efforts.

Cabana took the tag and hit a corner hip attack on Latimer, but Storm then hit a knee strike on Cabana. Issacs the picked him up for Storm to hit and if you’ve seen even one tag match ever, you know what came next: Cabana ducked and Storm hit the Last Call superkick on Issacs.

Anderson then took Storm out, Aldis hit Latimer with a spinning unanage, and Cabana followed up with the Superman Pin to win it for his team. Cabana now gets a shot at Storm’s National Title.

Winners: Aldis, Anderson, and Cabana (Cabana pinned Latimer)

Rating: **3/4. A fun main event. It’s a small thing, but I liked how Aldis pumped his fist when Anderson got the tag. You know, cause he’s a good babyface (when he’s asked to be) who wanted his team to win. Everyone was great here for the time given.

Final Thoughts: By far, this was the best episode of Powerrr from an in-ring standpoint. Again, no instant classics, but none of the matches overstayed their welcome and they kept the crowd engaged. We didn’t get as many promos this week, but what we got was par for the course in regard to this show. As great as NXT, NXT UK, and Dynamite are, you could argue that Powerrr the best wrestling show out there right now. Another strong effort from the promotion.

Final Grade: A
