Private Party vs. Dark Order  – Bronze Medal Match

Winner of this one joins AEW Tag Team Champions SCU and Lucha Bros in a Triple Threat Tag Team match for the titles at Full Gear this Saturday. The champions are

Stu Grayson lunges himself at Marq Quen immedaitely at the bell. Then, Dark Order keep double teaming the smaller guy and tagging in and out. Quen tries his best to fight them off and manages to tag in Isaiah. Party hit their own double team on Grayson.

Dark Order’s overwhelmed and roll out to the ring, shielded by their gimps. Grayson tries to sneak up on Kassidy when Evil Uno teases getting in the ring, but Kassidy hits a series of forearms before being halted by Grayson with a Uranage. More double teams from Dark Order.

Kassidy struggles to fight them off, but after a cheap shot kick from Uno on the apron, Dark Order get back into this, sending us to a commercial break.

Back from commercial, Uno still has the heat on Kassidy, but he reverses a suplex into another suplex to cause a hot tag. Quen runs at Uno, but runs into a clothesline, followed by a backbreaker/clothesline combo for a near fall. They attempt another move, but Quen dropkicks Grayson out the ring to set up a comeback spot. Which includes a big dive onto both Uno and Grayson outside.

He rolls Grayson back in the ring to continues his comeback spot with some sweet babyface fire. He tags Kassidy back in, but Grayson hits a double pele kick on them both. Tags Uno back in to hit an electric chair backbreaker for the pin, but Quen breaks it up.

Dark Order overpower the smaller competitor. Uno slingshots Quen right into Grayson. Double senton onto both guys for a two count.

Quen fights both of Dark Order off before tagging Kassidy back in. Kassidy hits a big DDT on Uno, taking him out. Quen gets the tag and hits a big Cutter on Grayson for the win.

After the match, the champs meet both challenging teams in the ring for a staredown.

Winners: Private Party:

Grade: C

I dug the hell out of this one. Nothing too memorable, and somewhat average, but entertaining for the moment. Dark Order’s really growing on me. And I already love Private Party immensely. The tag match on Saturday is going to be a show stealer.

After that, we get a backstage segment where Sammy Guevara offers Chris Jericho two bottles of the “bubbly” but Jericho’s not listening. We get some positive interview words from Sammy, “Soultrain Jones” (IT’S VIRGIL!), Santana, Ortiz and Chris Jericho’s aunt’s friend from church (who says Jericho is “going to beat the s*** out of Cody). Jericho promises to retain on Saturday as “Le Champion.” Hilarious stuff.
