WWE Survivor Series 2019: 3 possible matches for Bray Wyatt’s Fiend

Seems like (most) championship matches are set for Survivor Series already. There’s a three-way match for both the women’s and tag team titles, and Brock Lesnar is facing Rey Mysterio with his WWE Championship on the line.

With the exception of the mid-card and women’s tag team championships, all the high-end title matches have been booked, other than the WWE Universal Champion Bray Wyatt that is.

I truly hope the WWE has a good plan around Bray Wyatt and his Fiend character when it comes to Survivor Series, because let’s face it, in the past, Bray Wyatt has never gotten the best booking love when it comes to pay-per-views, sometimes not making the card at all, not to mention his lackluster, short run as WWE Champion was the last time he had a taste of gold in the company.

While I think that WWE made a huge mistake in not booking Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt with Adam Cole potentially in the mix (this is Survivor Series after all, champion vs. champion), there are plenty of booking opportunities for The Fiend to make a splash at this PPV.

Captain, My Captain

It seems as if the storylines are pointing to a traditional brand vs. brand Survivor Series Elimination Match, with Adam Cole (alongside Triple H) leading NXT and Seth Rollins heading up the red roster, with a potential leader needed for Friday Night SmackDown.

With last week’s travel issues leaving the blue brand scarce for talent in that episode, there is a huge question mark on who would head up the team as the captain. My gut says it could be Roman Reigns; after all, he is seemingly “the face” for that roster, but a plot twist could leave Bray Wyatt’s Fiend as their captain (my captain), which could make for an interesting development.

Building on Wyatt’s history, fellow members that could add an interesting dynamic on the team could be anyone from Daniel Bryan, Braun Strowman, Matt Hardy, Roman Reigns, and potentially Luke Harper. Even adding Bo Dallas into the mix and taking out one of these other superstars could work, because let’s face it, how many of us would love to see these real-life brothers finally united within storylines? *hand raised over here*

NXT Option

Speaking of Adam Cole, with Lesnar already busy with fellow RAW member Rey-Rey at Survivor Series, there clearly won’t be a three-way match up for the high-tier championship between brands; however, this doesn’t rule out a SmackDown-versus-NXT match between Adam Cole and Bray Wyatt.

There’s also the option of bringing out the Demon King versus the Fiend, but this could be a sticky situation with Finn Balor trying to re-introduce himself to the NXT fans, and the match would have to be booked very carefully in order to keep both men looking strong; but, what a match up that could and would be.

Keeping It All In The Family

Since Brock is defending his championship within his roster, could Bray Wyatt place his title on the line at Survivor Series within a top contender on SmackDown? Naturally, one might point to Roman Reigns; however, this is a feud better saved for a little later down the line. There was a Braun Strowman-Bray Wyatt program tease recently while the Fiend was battling Seth Rollins. This is something that could easily resurface; it’s still fresh in everyone’s mind.

Luke Harper is another interesting choice from SmackDown, creating a quickie program for Survivor Series and year-end storylines that could easily be swept under the rug come Royal Rumble season.
