Chris Jericho

Remember that fantastic documentary-style video package that aired a few weeks ago on Dynamite depicting Cody training for his World Title match against Chris Jericho spliced with interviews from Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Diamond Dallas Page, and Cody’s immediate relatives?

Well, Chris Jericho and his Inner Circle prepared a glorious rebuttal on Dynamite this past Wednesday. In addition to parodying the tone of the Cody video to perfection, the vignette contained plenty of gems, including:

-Sammy Guevara saying that Jericho — at age 48 — is in his prime and is the youngest AEW World Champion (which is technically true).

-Jericho doing MMA sparring, but only using his Judas Effect back elbow.

-Jericho sitting in a tub with a Fedora on, drinking “a little bit of the bubbly”.

-Jake Hager staring blankly at the camera without saying a word, which is probably for the best.

-“Living Legend” Soultrain Jones (a.k.a. Virgil)!

-Jericho’s “aunt’s friend from church”, Patricia Bobski, telling the audience that Jericho wanted to be the AEW World Champion since he was a little kid, and proclaiming that Jericho will “beat the s—“ out of Cody.

-Jericho feigning concern over how tough it will be to find “a little bit of the bubbly” following his title defense in Baltimore.

All of this was fantastic, and well worth multiple viewings.
