3. Jon Moxley will defeat Kenny Omega

This is my personal most anticipated match on the AEW Full Gear card.

With their bout originally scheduled for All Out being postponed, Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega have had ample time to make their hatred for one another build up even more. Week by week on AEW Dynamite, both men have taken turns trying to one up the other.

Jon Moxley had to pull out of AEW All Out due to MRSA in his elbow. Moxley has had the hottest year of any performer in 2019. After leaving the WWE in April, he would release a video on Twitter declaring himself free.

In turn, he would go back to being Jon Moxley after wrestling in the WWE as Dean Ambrose.

Moxley would show up at Double Or Nothing after Chris Jericho defeated Kenny Omega in the main event. Moxley quickly DDT’d both Jericho and the referee before turning his attention to Kenny Omega. Omega would become entangled with Moxley, leading to the 2 men brawling all over the arena.

It ended with Moxley throwing Omega off of a stack of casino chips through a table down below.

While Moxley competed in the G1, Omega trained hard and prepared himself to battle Jon Moxley at All Out.

When Moxley had to drop out due to his infection, Omega went on the verbal attack. He called out Moxley for trying to live a month in his shoes, and competing in the G1. Omega won the G1 Climax in 2016, Moxley was unsuccessful. The verbal tirade continued as Kenny went on the offensive, calling Moxley selfish and claiming he was the true professional.

Moxley returned on the debut episode of AEW Dynamite, and attacked Kenny Omega. It led to a brawl up the arena stairs and into a private box. It ended with a Moxley DDT through the glass table, leaving Omega laid out.

The back and forth has continued over the last month, and leads us to the big pay off at Full Gear.

Tony Khan took it upon himself to make this match an unsanctioned bout between these two men, meaning it won’t count against either man’s record.

This should favor Jon Moxley in this scenario. Kenny Omega has been called the “Best Bout Machine and steps up in these moments. Omega would be the favorite to score a victory in a regular wrestling match.

With both men’s record safe in this match, Moxley will shine in his element and defeat Kenny Omega in the most entertaining match of the night.
