Hangman Page (4-4) vs. PAC (3-1-1)
Hangman took it to PAC right away, driving PAC into the guardrail several times. Hangman hit a fallaway slam on PAC but PAC got his knees up for a standing shooting star press. Page hit a big right hand that sent PAC to the floor and Page hit a suicide dive. Page hit a big corner clothesline before hitting another that drove PAC to the mat for a 2 count.
Hangman hit a deadlift pumphandle fallaway slam for a 2 count. PAC fought out of the dead eye onto the apron and rubbed the ropes across Hangman’s face and started to get the heat on him. PAC slowed the match down, working on the eyes and several pump kicks in the corner. PAC worked over Page with several chin locks.
PAC went for a middle rope phoenix splash on Page, but Page dodged and hit several clothesline and chops, but PAC hit a pump kick. Page countered an attack with a spinebuster for a 2 count. Page hit a fallaway slam on the apron, driving PAC down. Hangman went to the top rope and hit a moonsault to the floor. Page hit a big Yakuza kick in the ring for a 2 count.
Hangman and PAC ended up on the outside again, and PAC was in the corner of the guardrail, sitting on a chair. PAC hit a brainbuster onto the chair on Page, and Page barely made it back to the ring in time. PAC continued the offense until Page was able to hit a fallaway slam off the top rope.
PAC hit a superkick and a release German suplex on Page, but Page responded with a pop-up powerbomb! Page picked PAC up for Deadeye, but PAC fought out and transitioned into the Brutalizer! PAC screamed “Ask him!” as Page slowly started to fall back down to the mat. Page almost fell unconscious, but he fell into the bottom rope.
PAC climbed up for the Black Arrow, but Page moved and went for the Buckshot Lariat, but PAC ducked and almost went into the referee! PAC tried for a low blow on Page, but Page caught it and murdered him with a forearm, a clothesline, and then finally the Deadeye for the win!
Result: Hangman Page (5-4)
Rating: **** (4 stars)
This was a very good match that didn’t have much heat by the start, but they won the crowd over by the end. Excellent stuff here from both men.
