After footage of last week’s Aron Stevens/Ricky Starks Best-of-Three Falls Match, Joe Galli interviewed Aron Stevens, who wore a puffy shirt over his ring gear.

Amid “Captain Morgan” chants, Stevens announced that he would no longer be part of the NWA or professional wrestling.

He said that his match last week was a miscarriage of justice and that he was done. He pointed to his phone and said that he had a role in the “movie” “Shogun of Malibu” and would be going back to California and that he would never return to the “hell hole” of Atlanta.

My Thoughts: I have a feeling that Stevens’ resignation won’t last long. Another fun segment from him.

We then go to a recap of Marti Belle’s heel turn from last week, before heading back to the ring.

Marti Belle & Thunder Rosa vs. Crystal Rose & Brooklyn Creed

Belle and Creed started things off. A collar-and-elbow turned into a wristlock for Creed, who quickly tagged in Rose. Rose and Creed continued to tag in and out while working over Belle’s arm before Belle broke loose and hit a bicycle kick to the stomach.

Belle then tagged in Rosa, who hit a few chops on Creed in the corner. She then hit a running clothesline in the corner before following up with double knees and a running dropkick to the gut of a seated Creed. Rosa then finished things with a double stomp to Creed’s back for the win.

Winners: Belle & Rosa (Rosa pinned Creed)

Rating: 3/4*. This pairing may be the best thing for Belle at this point, as she’s still quite green. This allows her to play to her strengths without overexposing her. Rosa, for her part, looked really good. It looks like she’ll be the top heel in the division, which is the right move.

After the match, Marquez interviewed Belle and Rosa. Belle said that she didn’t know much about Rosa, but she knew enough to understand that their partnership is where her future is. Rosa then spoke in Spanish, which Belle translated. She said that she had a vision of a fire that couldn’t be extinguished, a Phoenix that is coming back. She closed it by saying that Allysin Kay has no idea what’s coming to her.

My Thoughts: Great promo from Rosa that teased the expected Kay/Rosa match.
