AEW Dynamite: Results, Highlights and Grades for November 27th, 2019
Bea Priestley and Emi Sakura vs. Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander
Emi tosses Statlander to the outside, but Statlander apron moonsaults Bea. Tag to Hikaru Shida, who grabs a chair attempt the assisted chair move she did last week, but Emi simply sits in the chair. Hikaru kicks her out of it before we go to a commercial break.
Back from break, Emi Sakura teases hitting Shida with her microphone, but Shida attempts a chokehold, to which Sakura turns it into an octopus stretch until the ref takes the mic stand out her hand.
Priestley gets the tag, stomping Emi into the corner. Whip to the other corner gets reversed by Shida, setting Priestley on the middle rope, but Sakura suplexes her
Shida attempts a hot tag, but Priestley pounds her in the back and hits a German Suplex. Shida quickly recovers with a high knee. Shida tags to Statlander, who gets a big comeback spot. Tandem knees onto Sakura from Shida and Statlander. Statlander gets a near fall off an Oklahoma Roll follow up. She goes for a body slam, but Sakura turns it into a twisting facebuster.
“Sakura!” chant fires her up to mount a comeback. Running crossbody into the corner, to which Bea follows up with a diving foot stomp to the back. Bea goes after Hikaru Shida, hits a backbreaker for the pin, but Shida breaks it up.
Statlander hits a scissor kick for a nearest of near falls. Michinoku Drive with a pin after, but Bea breaks it up. Roundhouse to Bea’s head. Kris hits the ropes, but Emi hits her in the back with a mic stand. Emi makes the tag, rolls her up for the win.
Grade: B
Interesting dynamics here that might not work for anyone who prefers the classic face vs. heel dynamic. Felt like heel vs. heel, but I really enjoyed the action. Super duper fun stuff. Check it out.
