Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston has been one of the best in the business for a decade, and he knows that his faction-mate Big E has what it takes to be a great singles competitor in the company.

#KofiMania was the single greatest storyline of the year and one of the most impactful movements in WWE history. When Kofi Kingston hoisted the WWE Championship over his head and celebrated with The New Day after pinning Daniel Bryan in an instant classic at WrestleMania 35, Black wrestling fans around the world cried tears of joy with Kofi. And the rest of us were also overjoyed to see Kingston finally get his due.

However, Kingston isn’t the only wrestler in The New Day who has enough all-around quality to be a world champion. Xavier Woods is an actual genius, a charismatic talker, and one of WWE’s best sellers. And Big E? Well, he’s a record-breaking powerlifter, THE funniest guy in WWE, and has some of wrestling’s best signature moves (ever seen his spear???)

In an interview with AL.com’s Ben Flanagan, Kingston gave some praise to Big E, stating that his teammate would have an “amazing singles run” if given the opportunity:

"“He could bring the world. Big E is a phenomenal competitor and just a really, really funny dude on so many different levels, easily the funniest one out of all three of us. Me and Woods say all the time, it’s not fair. He can just kind of look at you and have people dying laughing. He has his finger on the pulse of what is good in wrestling. He knows how to make things unique. I agree 100 percent that he would have an amazing singles run.”"

So what are you waiting for, WWE? Make it happen you cowards!

WWE would not have to break up The New Day (seriously, if you are STILL suggesting that…please kindly sit down and be quiet) for E to have a singles run. Because, after all, Kingston was holding the WWE Championship and killing it with his tag team partners without any issues.

Big E has held the Intercontinental Championship before and has only gotten better over the years. He’s in an elite class of performer in WWE, and hopefully the company decides to capitalize on that sooner or later. As Kingston said, E has all the tools, and Vince McMahon, judging by his recent congratulatory appearance, is plenty high on The New Day as a trio.
