Chris Jericho introduced the “Lexicon of Le Champion” on the Dec. 4 episode of AEW Dynamite, and during the segment, he gave AJ Styles a nice little shoutout…under a different name.

As Chris Jericho himself said on the Dec. 4 episode of AEW Dynamite, everything he touches turns to gold. Hell, he’s selling out sparkling wines that spawned from a meme he created himself. Basically, the man is money and has been money for decades.

In this same segment, Jericho re-introduced “The List” that he got BEYOND over on WWE Raw in 2016, except he has an even better name now.

It’s called “The Lexicon of Le Champion”. And we’re all on it!

Listen carefully. Did you catch that? No, no, I’m not talking about “Marty”. Though that was a good one. I mean, it’s only a matter of time before Marty Scurll leaves the sinking ship that is ROH and joins his buddies at All Elite Wrestling.

No, I’m talking about “Allen Jones”. You know, good ol’ Uncle Allen! One of the “Good Brothers”!

Yes, Chris Jericho gave AJ Styles a shoutout on AEW Dynamite by mentioning his REAL name as a nice little easter egg for those of us who spend way too much time looking up professional wrestlers on Wikipedia.

And it’s no wonder why Styles is on Jericho’s list. The two of them had a tag team partnership when Styles first joined WWE at the beginning of 2016 after the Royal Rumble, and they called themselves “Y2AJ”.

Next. John Morrison is officially back. dark

Naturally, the two GOATs could not co-exist, and Styles and Jericho had a feud at WrestleMania 32 for AJ’s first ‘Mania match. And of course, the true GOAT, Jericho, picked up the win.

More than three years later, he’s the AEW World Champion and calling out Styles by his real name on live television so only low-life marks like me can understand the reference. Life truly does come full circle, doesn’t it?
