This week’s best of the Wednesday Night War focuses on Keith Lee’s big night, the return (of sorts) of Chris Jericho’s list and another stellar Cody promo.

With another week of the Wednesday Night War logged into the archives, it’s time to look at the three wrestlers who stood out the most on either NXT or All Elite Wrestling (AEW): Dynamite. But before we get to that, here are some honorable mentions:

Mia Yim: Dakota Kai’s first promo as a heel missed the mark by a fair margin, but Mia Yim’s return and attack on her NXT TakeOver: WarGames assailant didn’t. The brawl between these two obviously indicates that they will feud for the next month or so before Kai inevitably moves on to Tegan Nox. Hopefully, the writers will whip up some better promo material for Kai when that time comes because blatant race-baiting isn’t going to lead to long-term, legitimate heel heat.

Jurassic Express: As great and magnanimous as Chris Jericho has been since winning the AEW World Championship last September, his efforts to get some of the younger guys over would be all for naught if those younger guys couldn’t hold up their end. Fortunately, most of them have, and you can add Jurassic Express to that list. By the end of their in-ring segment with Jericho, Luchasaurus had gotten over his personality and Jungle Boy had gotten himself a match with Jericho where he will look to prove that he can hang with the champ for 10 minutes.

Kris Statlander: The recently signed Statlander scored a clean win over Hikaru Shida in what was a good TV match before engaging in a staredown with Awesome Kong, planting the seeds for a future showdown.
