We want the Riott Squad! We want the Riott Squad! Quite frankly, WWE and especially the WWE Women’s division need the Riott Squad. The Riott Squad is a combative trio and once Ruby successfully recovers from her surgeries, the WWE has to make an explosive Riott Squad return.

The WWE needs the Riott Squad back because these ladies deserve to leave their mark in the Women’s Revolution, and they also need to show the entire world that they are a dominant staple in WWE, by earning the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles.

A comeback from the Riott Squad will allow the trio to wrestle in some dream matches against other worthy tag team competitors as well.

For those who are unaware of who exactly the Riott Squad is, this faction consists of group members Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, and Ruby Riott.

This vicious trio debuted back on the Nov. 21, 2017 episode of SmackDown where they introduced themselves to fellow Superstar Naomi backstage, right before they brutally attacked her.

Current RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch then tried to come to Naomi’s aid, but it was to no avail as the numbers game quickly proved to be too much for the Irish Lass Kicker.

Talk about making a statement to the entire WWE roster!

It’s since been a little over two years since the debut of the Riott Squad, yet we haven’t seen much of the group for the majority of 2019. This can be chalked up to Liv Morgan getting drafted to SmackDown during the 2019 WWE Superstar Shake-up, which unofficially destroyed the faction as Sarah Logan and Ruby Riott stayed on RAW.

To add insult to injury, it was also discovered that the leader of the group, Ruby Riott, needed surgery on both of her shoulders as she underwent the first surgery in late May, only a few short weeks after the Superstar Shake-up.

This past August, Riott took to Twitter to confirm she’s had her second successful shoulder surgery. This means that Riott should be on her way to recovery and that her in-ring return is growing closer and closer.

Regardless of the reason for the WWE’s decision to split the team up, the WWE universe may not have to wait much longer for the Riott Squad to return.

While there has not been any official statement on when Riott can be expected to return to the ring, the recovery from bilateral shoulder surgery generally takes four to six months (although it certainly varies on the individual).

With this time frame, it’s safe to assume that Ruby will be ready to compete again sometime within the first quarter of 2020.

WWE can use Ruby Riott’s return to the ring as an opportunity for the Riott Squad to re-debut with the proper amount of grit, intensity and charisma. With the right tools in place for a return, these ladies have the potential to dominate in their division, potentially for new title opportunities.
