WWE Hall of Fame 2020: 8 more wrestlers we’d like to see inducted
William Regal
William Regal isn’t underrated by pro wrestling fans. No, no, those who have seen him perform from the 80’s to even the early 2010’s understand his brilliance in the ring. As an on-screen authority character, Regal thrived in three completely different roles as Commissioner, Raw GM, and NXT GM.
Fans hold Regal in the highest regard for his knowledge of the wrestling business and ability to strike a chord with the audience. Go watch this promo he cut on Cesaro and tell me you didn’t get goosebumps. Incredible stuff.
And his talent scouting and development in NXT has been massive. Sasha Banks once said she wouldn’t have even signed with WWE if it weren’t for Regal’s belief in her. Now Banks is on a trajectory to be one of the company’s best wrestlers and biggest stars in history.
Victoria
Lisa Marie Varon’s lack of a Hall of Fame induction has been a topic of conversation for quite some time, but most reasonable wrestling fans can agree that she needs to be in the HOF soon. Her career is legendary in ever sense, and she remained one of the best wrestlers on the planet up until her retirement match on Sept. 21.
In her WWE career, Victoria won two women’s titles and played a psychotic character in WWE wonderfully. She was on another level in the ring and showed it in TNA, winning a whopping five Knockouts Titles and one tag team title from 2009 to 2013. Victoria is a ridiculously talented athlete and character worker, and the Hall of Fame simply isn’t complete without her.
Whatever WWE’s reason is for not inducting her, Vince McMahon needs to cast that aside and realize that Victoria is one of the best to ever do this. She needs to be in the WWE Hall of Fame, preferably in 2020.
