This Wednesday’s action packed episode of WWE NXT will open with not only open with Adam Cole vs. Finn Balor for the title, but it’ll be commercial free.

Last week, we learned of two Pay-Per-View worthy matches confirmed for this Wednesday’s episode of NXT. Shayna Baszler will defend her WWE NXT Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley in a match that was made official the previous week.

In addition, after he defeated Keith Lee and Tommaso Ciampa in a triple threat number one contender’s match last week, Finn Balor will be taking on WWE NXT Champion Adam Cole for the Undisputed Era leader’s championship. Now we know that this title match in particular will be commercial free.

WWE confirmed this news on their YouTube page in the following video released just a few minutes ago.

This is not the first time that WWE has opened programming from their third brand with a commercial free presentation. The first time was on NXT’s first ever two hour episode of the show and first episode that USA Network aired head to head against TNT’s AEW Dynamite.

That two hour episode of NXT saw Adam Cole’s successful NXT Championship defense over Matt Riddle presented with no commercial interruption. Now, WWE will continue this counter programming tactic, but this time, will it be another successful title defense, or will the founder of the Balor Club win his second NXT Championship?

It is also worth noting that if this title match will open the show, that all but confirms that the second title match of the night between Rhea Ripley and Shayna Baszler is likely to main event the episode. Which is interesting.

Could the night close out with a new champion? By the same sword, could the episode end with two new champions standing tall, or will both Cole and Baszler retain? Tune in to USA Network at 8 p.m. sharp to find out on Wednesday.
